Awards:

Sound Awards:

At the 2011 annual Motor show in Gezina, Pretoria, my car won the IASCA sound-off by pumping 143.0 dB's through 2x 1400w 10" Pioneer DVC Subwoofers installed in a sealed enclosure.

Track awards:

Raced a few windgat blokes at the weekly Voortrekker street racing event. The results:

Purple Rain Corsa vs.  Pimpformance Turbo Polo  = Lost.
Purple Rain Corsa vs.  Modded Honda Vtec = Won.
Purple Rain Corsa vs.  Team Badass Modded Velocity Golf Mk1 = Won.

Sadly after half a tank of petrol and two hour's wasted time, no-one else felt like racing (except the local Police Officers - which would've been a kak idea).

Other Awards:

Chicks dig the PR Corsa. I reckon I've turned a couple of heads to say the least. Sexy award by the people ;).

Plans:

I have already started designing a custom sound installation and at the moment I still haven't decided if I'm getting a body kit for the car, or modifying the standard bumpers to my liking...ponder ponder ponder...

The current ICE setup is good enough for daily use, but since I'm building a beast, more dB's are needed, thus more speakers will be added.

For the ICE setup I'm thinking about adding 1x 15 1000W RMS Targa sub, a decent Pioneer split system, 1x 5000W 4ch Amplifier and some fancy bling..but I might change my mind and do something entirely different...you never know...

The paint-job has way too many scratches and dents and a few layers of new paint will be added with a two-tone design (which I will be rendering myself) after I've modified/replaced the bumpers and done any other modifications to the body.

Plans to airbrush the rims and some other bits and pieces are also drifting around in my brain...

The engine is stock, but I need more horses. The cylinder head and camshaft will be modified for more performance. Stainless steel valves and larger pistons will be added to the mix and a Dicktator chip will be installed and mapped to make my monster purr like a kitty cat and roar like a deeply disturbed underworld beast.

With that said, the brakes and suspension also needs an upgrade, and I've got the following in mind:

The front disc brakes will be moved to the rear wheels and replace the drums. Larger Slotted/Ventilated discs from a Corsa OPC or similar will be installed in front. More horse power needs more braking power.

If the car's performance increases beyond my expectations, a roll-cage will be fitted along with after-market bucket seats and harnesses.

The suspension will be done once the motor's been upgraded. I'll leave this to the professionals. (I do have a 40mm drop in mind though..)

When I bought her in 2011, she looked like this:

By December 2011 I haven't had a lot of time or money to spend on the car, but by then she looked like this:
